Minas, Camagüey, Oct 21. – With the goal of fostering a love for reading from early childhood, the Jesús Menéndez library and the Julián del Casal House of Culture, both from the town of Senado, joined forces to bring the activity "Playing and Narrating" to the Góticas de Miel Childcare Center.
The initiative, driven by library technician Noelia Góngora, focused on promoting a title from children's literature, specifically selected to capture the interest of the little ones.
Through a dynamic session of oral storytelling, the children were transported to the magical world of tales, an experience designed to stimulate their imagination and listening skills.
The story was not just told, but lived. The narration was accompanied by educational games that reinforced the values and lessons of the text, promoting the active participation of the children.
This collaboration with the House of Culture enriched the activity, creating a playful atmosphere that completely captured the participants' attention and strengthened the bond between literature and other artistic expressions.
More than just a recreational event, "Playing and Narrating" established itself as an educational experience that leaves its mark on the children's emotional and cognitive development.
The activity demonstrated that promoting reading at an early age, combined with play and art, is a powerful tool for enhancing fundamental skills such as communication, empathy, and creativity. (Text and photo: Mayara Pérez Benítez/La Voz del Bayatabo, Minas)
